Here at Bing we have many resources for your psychological well-being. We have a psychiatrist, Dr. Mazzeo, available at Health Services and free counseling at the Counseling Center in the Library North building. After you set up your first appointment you will fill out paperwork in the comfort of the reception area. You will have an intake appointment which is sometimes all you need. They will recommend services to you given the information provided by you and your intake appointment. There are many group counseling sessions available like meditation. There is also individual counseling which lasts about an hour. You can choose to be seen once a week or biweekly. This is all drawn up around your own class schedule. If you need emergency services there is something here for you too. They can also refer you to someone in the nearby community to seek treatment. On their website, http://www.counseling.binghamton.edu they have many resources available including virtual pamphlets about everything ranging from anorexia to depression. In the reception area there are also pamphlets for things like managing your time and tips on how to study. They are kind and caring and here to help. To set up an appointment, please call 607-777-2772. Don’t ignore any problems you are having, no matter how little. It is FREE and there for YOU.
