Student Ambassadors

Hey guys!
I hate to be “that guy” that advertises on a blog, but the opportunity is too good to pass up.

Tonight (Monday, January 31) and tomorrow February 1, the Student Ambassadors will be holding their General Interest Meetings at 7PM in the Hinman Commons. If you’re someone who has a ton of Binghamton pride, strives to have a blogging account on this here Admissions site, or just wants to find out what we’re all about, I definitely recommend coming. Oh, and did I mention that there will be free pizza? I mean, that should be incentive enough smile

Seriously though, you should all come down and learn more about the best student group on campus. (And I’m not just saying that because I happen to be a member wink ) If you’re interested, check out our site here.

As a side note, I should mention to all you prospective students that Binghamton offers over 250 clubs and sports teams. I know, crazy, right? You’d be hard pressed not to find a club that tickles your fancy. (I mean, we even have a Pirate Club. What do the members do, you ask? It’s simple. They raid other clubs’ meetings, steal all of their food, and then leave. Pretty legit, right?) And if, in the rare chance you don’t find a club that you like, you can always start your own. All you need is 100 signatures, and the SA will charter your newly formed group. It’s that simple.

Now back to you current students. If you’d like to get involved in clubs this semester, be on the lookout for announcements regarding General Interest Meetings. B-line is the perfect place to look for those. If you can’t attend a GIM for some reason, just email the group leader, and you’re all set. Get involved though- not only does it look great on a resume, but it’s a lot of fun, too.

Ok guys, that’s all for me. I hope to see you soon! Oh, and if you do plan on coming to the Student Ambassadors GIM (January 31 and February 1 at 7PM in the Hinman Commons *wink wink nudge nudge*), make sure you introduce yourself to me. smile

Catch you on the flip side!
-Amber
