Snowboarding!

This Spring 2011, I’m taking Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding for 1 credit! Although I used to snowboard in high school, I’m taking the class to really understand how to turn my board (which is very important to know, right?). Every Sunday for six weeks, the class goes to Greek Peak - a mountain in Cortland about 45 minutes away - to take snowboarding or skiing lessons. Lessons include beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert levels. After the lesson, the class has time to practice on the mountain. Below is a picture of Sharif and Rob on the easiest slope during our last lesson.

One exciting thing is that bus transportation is included. Four buses leave from the East Gym parking lot on campus at noon and return to campus by 6:30pm. How convenient!

I’m so jealous! I want to take that class but I don’t have the guts to. That sounds fun smile!
